Your Supervisor of Elections

Dana Southerland is a lifelong resident of Taylor County and is married with three grown children. She was elected in August 2008 to serve as Supervisor of Elections for Taylor County and is currently serving her fifth term. Prior to being elected she worked in the elections office and the Clerk of Court. She has over thirty years of employment with Taylor County Government.

  • Master Florida Certified Elections Professional (MFCEP)

  • Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA)

  • Graduate of Taylor County High School

  • Over 2,000 hours of instructional election related classes, seminars and conferences

Accomplishments Since Taking Office

  • Conducted 24 successful elections

  • Assisted in registering over 650 high school students to vote

  • Implemented the Vote in Honor of a Vet program for Taylor County (currently displaying 525 of our honored Veterans)
